We would just like to say we came to an Archery day on 17th July, part of a birthday treat for both of us.

We came alone but were soon part of a team...Which eventually ended 4th  so good result. 

The day was exceptionally well organised, the lunch was large, tasty and very much appreciated...

To shoot at so many different targets and a bit of fun competition was an excellent way to spend what was a very relaxing day.

We have not stopped talking about it to our friends and would recommend the day to anyone.

All in all a fantastic day out, great fun and very good value for money.

I have a day left to book as holiday this year so I will look at this for the Masterclass on Tuesday - I am off mon and tues this week so I can't check about that until wed - I will let you know ASAP.

What can I say, what a wonderful day it was. I can honestly say never have I had so much fun on a land based activity as I did on Saturday. Judging on the amount of positive feedback and emails I have had from the other 16, quite clearly their views are the same.

Please send out a big thank you to your marshals, and a well deserved pat on the back for yourself. The day would not have been the same with out your constant enthusiasm and banter with the group (particularly with Handsome Glen, still cant believe we ended up in 3rd place!)

A truly unique and brilliant experience. We shall be back.........

Just wanted to say a huge thanks for a great day yesterday.   Had great fun and it was good to be able to use the bows again and an extra thanks for letting us stay for an additional play at the end of the day.    You obviously care about people and archery and it showed in the lovely fun day you gave us all.
 
Love the photos - we appreciate it takes that little bit more effort not only to take the pics but also to get them on the website that quickly.   (Only went on the site this morning to find your contact and was surprised to see our ugly mugs staring back at us!)
 
On a personal note I would especially like to thank you for all your care to make sure I had a good day and be able to take part when I thought I was only going to be an observer - really appreciated it and I had an absolutely brill day.   Hope to get together a group and visit again soon.

Many thanks to you and the team for a great day - Nats and the girls had a great time and there was a huge amount of giggling and phoning during Sunday once the photos were tracked down!  We really liked the first one up on the website which may possibly make it in to the James Allen’s Girls’ School newsletter if it is approved – we’ll try anyway and will of course credit you.  I am sure everyone will be choosing their own as well and thanks for putting them up so quickly.

Thank you for a fantastic day on Sunday.  We were so lucky with the weather but I feel even if it hadn’t been so sunny we would all still have had a brilliant day.

Your team were so helpful and you made us all feel relaxed and able to do it.  I don’t think there was anyone at the end of the day who could not hit the target.  We all learned a new skill; what a testimony to your teaching skills! With your sense of humour (going over to the dark side!!) encouraging us along and the right combination of competition and teamwork it was also a very good example of what could be achieved both in the corporate and personal environments.   Well done. The catering was also well organised and very much appreciated.

Hi Steve & Caroline,

Just a quick email to say thank you for a superb day. It was great to mix with people of varying expertise and to find that the experienced archers were not at all "precious".  In fact they went out of their way to be helpful and were particularly considerate of us "archery virgins"!!  They were lovely with the "small people" and I know that contributed to the Boys enjoyment of their day even more.

We all drove home happy and contented, even if the feet were a little wrinkled and soggy.  James, Alexander and Matthew have all said they would love to come back and have another go, so hopefully we may meet again in the not too distant future. 

It was a fantastic environment to try archery for the first time, relaxed, friendly and fun, what more can you ask for on a day out with your nephews?!

We had a really good day out. It was tiring - all that concentrating, but very relaxing too.

We have taken a look at the photos, very impressed with Cynthia’s position in one of them!

Iain is really keen to organise an archery day for his 40^th (beginning of October). It’s a bit awkward with family travelling down from Nottingham and children to get taken care of so we’re trying to think of a way of doing it. We’ll be in touch when we’ve though of something.

We ended up in the Golden Lion with our socks on the radiator.

Everyone said they enjoyed it immensely, some of them admitting that they hadn't expected to. I think it's a combination of competition, a sense of achievement when you pinion a bunny, and the relaxed and fun atmosphere you create. I really do think I'll come again.

Thanks again, to you and your team. And I hope you find the last arrow I fired. Although there's a chance it became lodged in a light aircraft and is lost forever.

Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks for a great day (5th May), I was one of the Rapley and co. group, the one that killed the Ostrich.
It had been years since I had done any archery, I thoroughly enjoyed myself as did my wife.  The only down side was a peeling nose, ears and forehead the next day from some quite extreme sun burn, well you live and learn, my advice always wear sunscreen.
Will definitely come again, I'm even tempted to get my own bow.

 Just like to thank you and your team for a great day made better by the unusually great weather we had for October.

It was particularly refreshing to see the enthusiasm displayed by yourself and colleagues and you kept us well entertained and fed throughout the day.

A lot of thought and work has obviously gone in to designing the field archery activities which maintained our interest and had us eager to try out the next zone.

Although we were in the company of established archers, we never at any time felt disadvantaged or made to feel as ‘non belonging novices’.

Dear Steve,

What a truly brilliant day, thank you!

Your master class has opened up for us a whole new side to archery, one which exorcises the reliance upon wheels, sights, stabilisers and all those other gadgets and gizmos by bringing it back to you, the archer. Scary stuff – remind me, how the heck does it work… ?

An extremely well run day, thoroughly enjoyable, instructive and enlightening.  We’re looking forward to turning up to our first 3D shoot where we aren’t accused of being the ‘twiddlers’ – that’ll freak them out J

The coaching skills and enthusiasm were such a pleasure to see, it is clear that you have a passion for all things of the bow and this made the day so enjoyable. I intend to pick-up where we left off today and
the club shoot on Sunday will see me back in the 'zone'! (not certain whether we have any plastic animals to hunt at the moment...will have to lean on the treasurer...)

Hi Steve,

I can't believe that a month has gone past already since we all came down for our archery day with you. I am sure that Stella responded and told you that we all enjoyed it enormously, partly due to the excellent weather and your organisation - including the archery games (the sheep & the wolf etc.) and photos. We did have a caption competition following the event with a key photo being put up in our kitchen here in the office - something about the rutting season !! I was amazed that my old skills came back strong enough to win the event as I hadn't done any archery since about 1882.   

Having thoroughly enjoyed the day, I did say as I left that I would come again and was interested in acquiring a bow from you to pursue the sport. The question is what do you run at weekends, how far ahead does one have to book, and what's the cost ?

Hi there Steve & Caroline -                                                                                                         Just a note to say a BIG 'thank you' to you both and for the great time and the truly 'amazing experience' you promised.   I've received very good positive feedback and everyone thought the event was 'right on target'!!  Also, the photographs were great and again everyone enjoyed seeing them so quickly even the photograph of Alan pulling a face which we have put up asking for an appropriate caption - you can image some of the responses!!                  Hopefully you will get a couple of bookings after our 'team building' day as everyone was nothing but animated about the day and would definitely recommend it to friends and family - just a shame it wasn't all day as then we could have also sampled your culinary skills along with your wit!!

Even though I have spent 12 years doing target archery and even had a 4 year stint on the Junior GB team I still find these days the most fun you can have with your trousers on!

Cheers for the other weekend, had a wicked time even though we were robbed of our medals (so close but yet so far!!!). Really enjoyed the day, never knew that Tony was soooo competitive. Gary has not stopped chatting about his 50 score even more so since he looked at the past records and saw he is drawing with one other for the overall champion title. we are off on Friday with Trev to waterlooville so he can buy his own bow!!! What have you started!!!!!???
 
We all are very keen to do a Masterclass. do these ever run on a Sunday? (really difficult for Gary to get time off on a Saturday) possibly could do a Friday though. Any future dates in mind?

Hey Steve this is the Fitzpatrick's, better known as the "Storm-Breakers", we wanted to thank you for our amazing day of archery! It was so much fun .The different game zones were great, but we all especially enjoyed the plain black board, where you hit within thirty seconds. The army men, the sheep with the coyote and the rest of the zones were all great! The food was fabulous. and you should definitely keep the doughnut break! We

Thanks for a superb day on Saturday. All my family loved it. From the stroppiest teenager to the grumpiest old git, there was not a moan to be heard. In fact my dad said it was the best day out he'd had for a long time. I did warn them all that we'd be the bottom team, just as well wasn't it, that must be the record for the worst team score ever! Still someone's got to come last.

(PS - another thing that we all really appreciated, was having our lunch on proper plates with proper cutlery. Most places try and get away with disposable stuff, and wrestling with a plastic knife and fork is really annoying. Food was great as well, I think my brother in law ate his body weight in chicken).

As for feedback the only way to improve would be to give the bows away at the end of the day!!!!! and that ain't gonna happen is it, seriously though I personally think you have got it spot on, safety-excellent, food-brilliant and organization of the whole day was fandabbydozy.

If you pass our thanks on to your team it was a truly fantastic day, enjoyed by us all. It sound silly in these days of over expectation but every thing was ace, the organisation the food, the equipment and most of all the personnel, so helpful. The day was helped out by having 30 + people who all got along and help to make a wonderful day who I think all thoroughly enjoyed it, I heard no moaning or gripes about anything not even from my son. You have a excellent environment for corporate entertainment and at £50 / person a real snip compared to a lot of days where you have to hang around for ages such as race days or do the same old thing Golf or horse racing. - (I think the team concept is good for times when you are waiting to shoot as you are routing for your team mates). Thanks again for a truly fantastic day I will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone I work with in the future.

I would like to thank you for a very enjoyable and instructive day at your "Masterclass" on 2nd September this year. I have been shooting for about ten years but had never had any formal training, basically self taught as most archers seem to be. It helped me to focus on techniques that I had heard of before but no one had ever shown me how.

Still with this fresh in my mind, the following Sunday at our open club shoot I managed to win my class (H/T) and also achieved the second highest score out of all classes. I still believe it
is not the winning but the taking part that counts, but I confess to a rather smug feeling when collecting my trophy!
